Our Approach
We believe a formal approach to design and development is important to building good
applications. Our project management and application development methodologies are
based on widely accepted industry best practices. In our experience we have worked
with a number of the published standards dealing with project management and
application development and have settled on variants of PMI and RUP as the standards to follow at TekInsight.
But we know standards alone are not enough. Diligently following standards may result in great documentation and reports, but not so great results.
Nothing takes the place of experience, and the understanding that comes from this experience, to be able to carefully adapt a methodology to meet
the specific circumstances and needs of our customers.
If you have adopted a project management and application development methodology of your own – based on published standards or an internally
developed one – we will take this into account. As well, we’ll try to understand the way you and your organization work, and then adapt our
approach to fit your circumstances and improve our ability to collaborate effectively.
